Peguera

With 3 beautiful beaches, this resort offers more than just sun, sea and fun

Comprising the 3 beaches of Playas Romana, Torà and Palmira as well as the coves in Cala Fornells – the town of Peguera is located nearby to the village of Es Capdella and larger town of Santa Ponca in the municipality of Calvia in the Southwest of Mallorca.

With an international community, popular with German toursits, this holiday resort benefits from excellent transportation links, with the motorway taking you to Palma in about 20 minutes.

Originally a tiny fishing village, the advent of tourism in the 1950's and 60's transformed Peguera into a tourist town – being the first resort in Mallorca with an artificial beach. Whilst the town is still a family friendly holiday destination, offering a wide range of drinking and dining options for all budgets along its clean and safe sreets, it is gradually evolving.

Escape to Mallorca Peguera

On Playa Tora the restaurants of Mar y Mar and La Vida have become particularly popular for drinks and dining overlooking the beach – a perfect location for sundowners, and nearby the fantastic steak house Hacienda has proved to be a popular dining choice for both residents and tourists alike. With a new luxury apartment development currently under construction, and plans underway for a new retail park, Peguera is quickly becoming a hidden gem amongst Mallorca's seaside resorts.

Whilst Peguera is a popular holiday destination, many of the restaurants and bars stay open all year round, allowing the residents of the town to enjoy the beautiful beaches and nearby countryside walk, whilst in the winter months the beach becomes popular with surfers.
